![]() There is a dictionary sized menu there, so we asked the lady who runs the place for recommendations on vegan foods. This place was perfect! It's tiny, and cozy with authentic hong kong / Chinese dishes. We also happened to be going out on a Saturday evening, so we had to find someplace that wasn't over crowded. My gf & I were looking for someplace with vegan options that wouldn't be too close to campus where all the hectic parties are. very tasty but small and only 4 of them:( I wish there was 6 for the price of 4.95. I never knew of this place and I hope they get good business!!! My stir fry was excellent and lasted my boyfriend and I a good 3 meals each. This was after the lunch hour and only me and a small group of students were doing hot pot. she brought me a fresh plate of rice so i had something to eat on and not have to open my take home rice. The food was done quickly and fresh I got chicken shrimp stir fry egg drop soup and crab rangoons and when she brought it out she helped pull things out of the bag for me and make myself at home just like I was dining in. The lady that works there is super sweet and helped me navigate the menu and I told her it was to go even though I will take a few bites here I'm bringing it home for dinner. Very cool environment can't wait to go with friends or date night and try the full hot pot experience! This time I was by myself and just needed a quick bite after an appointment nearby. *photos are before and after of Pan Fried Noodles Assorted Meat * Like I said, this is NOT a usual experience, hopefully next time will be better. Nothing seemed as it should have been, sadly. Disappointing because this was part of a large meal(family dinner) and not everyone could eat their favorite foods. ![]() ![]() The crispy Hong Kong chicken was not juicy/tender like times prior to tonight but rather tough, never the case before. Not to mention the meat was mainly pork, which was fatty and unappetizing,I put them all to the side. Most of the noodles were set aside after trying to mix them and they were either breaking or stuck together not being able to be separated. The sauce and meat that come with it was half full and nowhere near enough to soften the noodles as it is intended. The pan fried noodles were so cooked/fried they were burned and extremely hard. This is usually my goto place for Chinese food, the Hong Kong crispy chicken and the assorted meat pan fried noodles are my favorites. ![]() Fried rice is not yellow and these guys got that message years ago the fact that this place is such a hidden gem is insane and the chicken legs for $6 are a huge bargain. Pad Thai are standouts as well as anything sweet and sour, big crispy egg/spring rolls, the fried rice is proper fried rice with egg and light and dark soy sauce and not suspiciously yellow like so many other places here. Don’t even bother w that Asian gourmet place this is the bar to top in Lansing. And I bet the reason this is the best “Chinese” restaurant is because they’re from laos and have their very own spin on traditional Chinese American dishes. At the very least I know at Ming dynasty everything is made to order and fresh. If my giant order of Chinese food is done in 15 min I’m gonna be suspicious. Wait time can be a little long but that’s because they make everything made to order and since the food is so good there’s always a bunch of orders being made. Amazing food, decent prices, super super super sweet family and good portions.
